Beth E. Skelton, 85, of Johnstown died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at her home. She was born May 25, 1929 in Bradford Township She was a life-long resident of Johnstown Township and the daughter of John and Mabelle (Taylor) Wetmore. She graduated from Clinton High School and later worked there as a secretary. She married William John Skelton III on September 4, 1947. Beth enjoyed crafting, sewing and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, William, 3 children, William John IV (Roxanne) Skelton of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Merle Dean (Maxine) Skelton of Fort Wayne, IN, Sandra K. (Steven) Arens of Avalon, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Russell (Cherry) Wetmore of Avalon, WI, 1 sister, Vivian June Wetmore of Delavan. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Barbara Jean Cours, 1 grandson, Nathan Gregory Skelton and 2 brothers, Ray Wetmore and Ralph Wetmore.
Per Beth’s wishes no services will be held. A time to celebrate Beth’s life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church 8605 East County Road A, Janesville. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, Janesville assisted the family.
